Our fall flag football program will be open to boys and girls enrolled in a Baraboo Area School entering grades 2nd-6th for the 2023-2024 school year.


This program is intended for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of football. Each practice will involve warm-ups, skills sessions, and scrimmages. We are also increasing league games and tournaments this season (more info coming soon).


Season Start

Start date is Tuesday August 22nd and will run through mid-October.


Practice Dates/Times

Tue/Thur (5:30-7:00pm)

Times may adjust to daylight changes

Games will be scheduled as they become available



Teams are built on registration numbers by grade.



Kids should wear athletic clothing (T-Shirt, Shorts/pants) and football cleats (soccer and non-metal baseball cleats are sufficient) for each practice. Receiver gloves at younger ages are not recommended as they typically hinder handling the football. We will provide your player with a mouthguard and game jerseys.



Each player should bring their own water to practice.



We typically play in light rain and snow. We will immediately stop or cancel play if there is a thunderstorm and/or lightning. If field conditions make it unsafe to play, we will send out a notification via the Game Changer app as soon as a decision has been made to cancel.



We are always looking for coaches and admin so please let us know if you are interested. Our program doesn’t exist without your help.



Cost is $50 per player. Included is a customized performance jersey if you register before August 12th. Program registration fee check payment made to “Baraboo Youth Football” and can be made the first day of practice.
