BYF History

BYF was a dream of Scott Carr's and began in 2000 & 2001 with the first traveling teams starting in 2002.  Scott connected with Jeff Spencer early on and the two forged ahead.  Jeff spent the next five years raising money and recruiting help to make it all happen.  As with anything new the start is always tough.  After the first year or two Tim Trower, Angie Ebright, and Chuck Christian also came on board.  With the increased help things begin roll.  The PeeWee program was added in 2003. Today a board is in place to oversee the day to day operations averaging around 130 kids and more than 20 volunteer coaches each season.  BYF now is part of the Badger Alliance which includes over 13 different cities. The BAYF was constructed by Coach Carr and a few of our programs dedicated volunteers; Chuck Christian and Mark Bostowic.  The league was developed prior to the 2006 season with an emphasis on the development of our youth in the game of football along with making sure the youth involved experience the enjoyment of the game of football. Over the last few years our numbers have been solid and consistent.  There are many thanks deserved to those that early on got this dream turned into reality.
